About
Journal of Muhammad Medical College (JMMC) is a peer-reviewed, open-access, biannual biomedical journal owned and published by Muhammad Foundation Trust, Mirpurkhas, Sindh, Pakistan, published regularly since 2010. JMMC publishes high-quality original research to disseminate significant, innovative work and contribute to the development of research trends in Pakistan and the wider region.
JMMC follows a double-blind peer review process: the identities of authors and reviewers are concealed from each other throughout review. Reviewers evaluate each manuscript on its importance, clarity, originality, and intellectual rigor, and are not permitted to use AI-assisted tools during review, in order to protect the confidentiality of unpublished work.
Scope and Aim of the Journal
JMMC provides a platform for the researchers, academicians, professionals, practitioners, and students to impart and share knowledge in the form of high quality empirical and theoretical research papers, case studies, review papers, analytical and simulation models, technical notes from researchers, academicians, professionals, practitioners and students from all over the world. The scope of the journal falls in all fields of Biomedical Sciences including dental and allied specialties.
JMMC welcomes submissions across all fields of biomedical science, including dental and allied specialties. In addition to original research, JMMC publishes review articles, meta-analyses, case reports, case series, short communications, letters to the editor, and articles on developments in medical education. JMMC aims to support junior doctors, nurses, and medical students, and to contribute to the continuing professional development of practicing clinicians, serving as a forum for communicating the region's health priorities with the global research community.

JMMC does not charge for submission. All manuscript types are published free of charge, except Original Research Articles, for which a charge of PKR 10,000 applies.
Review timeline
JMMC aims to complete the first round of review within one month of submission, with authors then given one month to revise. Where substantial revisions are requested, publication timelines may extend accordingly.
